FAQs

  • What is a bridal preview?

Bridal previews or trials are a great way to try out different styles you have in mind for your big day. It is suggested you have your preview 1-3 months in advance since your hair will be most similar to the day of your wedding. Many brides live faraway and are not able to have a preview. We are totally comfortable with that! Previews are not required but encouraged. Appointments will be held at a salon in New Paltz and are scheduled for 2 hours. We can try out different hairstyles during the allotted time. If you plan on using hair extensions, it is recommended that you bring them with you to the preview.

  • How should I prep my hair?

We ask our clients to arrive with dry and clean hair for preview appointments and for the wedding day. This means hair that is no longer than one day old. It is a myth that dirty hair holds better. We have the professional tools and products to give your hair the hold it needs to last for your event. Overly dirty hair may cause unwanted results such as frizz, lack of volume or hold, etc. Hot tools cannot be used on wet hair as it causes damage both to the hair and our tools. In order for us to successfully stick to the timeline, blow drying services will not be provided. Please advise your party of the proper preparation.

  • Do you have a minimum number for bridal groups?

On site wedding hair services require a booking party of 4. For individuals, smaller groups, and all other events please still use the inquiry form. Discretion will be used to determine whether services can still be provided based on location, demand, and availability.

  • Do I need pictures of styles I like?

Yes please! Visuals help us to understand what you like and dislike. You may bring them to your bridal preview. If you are not having a preview, we would love to see pictures ahead of time to be prepared and have your same vision for the big day!
